The students of the last year of technical school “Artom” took part to a 3 hours workshop in Tosa on the subject “Innovation of the product”. A brief presentation of the company by The A.D. Serena Tosa, was followed by the intervention of the Engineers Giovanni Lori (technical supervisor) and Andrea Tacchella (head of manufacturing) on the design and constructive features related to a roping system installed on wrapping machines, produced by Tosa Group.

This year, for many unpredictable reasons Christmas party was postponed to a cold January evening. Sales department, leading by Fabio, cooked for all the Tosa staff a delicious “risotto al Barbera” and the typical Piedmontese “bollito” that was served with our well- known local wines. Fancy dresses ,cotillons and a real Masterchef- like board livened up the evening. The party was also warmed up with karaoke to greet the weekend with a smile.

The commitment of Tosa Group for a trained community capable of intervene in case of sudden illness reaches a new level through the patronage of a first-aid course, held by “Forminlife”, dedicated to the students of the primary school “Giuseppe Tosa” in Cossano Belbo. The little students have been trained to be ready to give first-aid to people around them. Serena Tosa said: “I believe that the youngest have the ability to keep the concentration also in the most dramatic moments. That’s why I think it’s important to offer them all the useful information to save a life”.

Also this year the company distributed, together with other 6 local companies, scholarships for the more brilliant students of the technical school “ARTOM” in Canelli. The mission is to support young minds in the technical field to give them the opportunity to be trained and to give a new life to the sector.

A new book by Renato Grimaldi, eminent professor of the University of Turin, was launched in Cossano Belbo where the Tosa family has strong personal and business roots. The book is about the social development of the small town of Cossano Belbo and it is dedicated to Beppe Tosa, whose tenth anniversary of passing was celebrated on the 5th of October.

We donated to the “Forminlife” association an hyper realistic high-tech manikin which is essential for an effective life saving training on the citizens as well as on the healthcare workers. The name of the manikin is Beppe, in honour of the founder.
